By way of thanking you for registering for the inaugural GBIF Ebbe Nielsen Challenge, I wanted to alert you that we have just released a pre-announcement sharing preliminary details on the 2016 competition, which will build on efforts to understand, examine and address gaps and biases in open-access biodiversity data from the GBIF network.
DevPost will again provide the platform for challenge entries; we expect its page will go live on 29 July. If you'd like to keep up to date on the Challenge and other GBIF news, I'd encourage you to sign up for our email list or follow us…

The votes are in! Go to the gallery to congratulate the winners and check out all of the excellent submissions.
Even though the competition is over, don't stop hacking. Use your portfolio to keep your project up to date and get feedback from fellow makers.

Everyone in the GBIF community and the Ebbe Nielsen Challenge jury is eagerly awaiting the arrival of your entries just four weeks from today on 2 March. We expect you're well under way—both with your partnerships and submissions—and you probably know that the resources listed under Data on ChallengePost site are likely to be the first and best sources of tools and information.
But do let us know if we can help in any way—best of luck!
